Reply with quote | #1 | Just got the first wave and i am very impressed. The game is great....the figs look eben better. Big difference from the SOTA line. Im not saying that they are better.......SOTA made the figs look straight outta the previous games as did NECA with this new incarnation. But I wonder.....is SOTA done?? We had 1 wave of the Revolutions....and that is it. All is quiet. __________________

Reply with quote | #2 | Yeah Sota Lost the license to NECA. NECA's figures stand a full 1" taller than the Sota ones..
I wont be getting SFIV figures by NECA, but i hold out hope that maybe Sota could get the MK license now that midway are canned
Not that keen on Ryu or Ken from the NECA line, sure they look a little like their videogame counterparts but in reference to the face they arent quite right. To have more Ryu and Ken would be fantastic but i can't bypass that NECA made them out of scale.
I'm spending my remaining funds on chasing the Sota figures i dont have and just to recorrect what you said in your final sentence.. sota didnt just do revolutions line 1.. they actually done rounds 1-4 and the previews stuff. See my gallery in the collections section for confirmation. On an unrelated note.. its great to see you back.

Reply with quote | #3 | I heard on another forum that WB is interested in the MK game license so we might see DC Direct or Mattel expanding their character list. |

Reply with quote | #5 | Have you seen the pictures of wave 2? AKuma,Chun Li,Guile? I still prefer the SOTA versions. I just don't like the SFIV art style.

Reply with quote | #6 | Perhaps you could share these pictures here? I haven't seen pictures of the round 2 figures by Neca. They lost my interest when they stated they released them at 7"
The style is pretty cool and if i'd not taken up Sota's collection i'd definately be interested in Neca products. Having the same characters but in varying degrees of heights just doesn't mesh well with me. What I wanna know is during their advertising campaign they promised fans that their line would mesh with previous sota ones... ?? how can it if its a full 1" out of sync with the previous release?
Did you pick up any of the Neca figures, have we any comparison pictures to compare a Neca ken next to a Round 2 Ken or Previews Ken?
