I've just acquired the Comic Pack Firefly. However there is work to be done if the number 1 mantle is to be claimed in the collectors stakes.
I've placed him up against Urban Strike Firefly and Version one. Lets see how he gets on..

Interesting review. Really, of those 3 the one I like most is the Urban Strike one, as I haven't any nostalgia for the v1, and the comic pack version as you say has the camo very badly applied, even if his head is very good.

The strange thing is that the first time I saw Firefly was his v6 version;

And this is the one I like most. I only have 2 fireflies, this one and the v1.

Interesting. I remember having that same figure during the run of JvC line and i have to say the articulation and movement was good. I just didn't like the softer plastic in his hands, he couldn't hold his weapons properly and the overly sized monkey arms and no camo.

I think the idea of him is almost there, it would be interesting to see this firefly with a better camo on him and stronger hands.
My first ever Firefly was this one.

I remember the intro to Action Force videos by tempo. In this intro Firefly in Grey and Scrap Iron were on a docklands somewhere.. I never knew even who he was until I got on the net later. He was something of a mystery until i got back into Joes in 97/98. By this time I'd still kept my 93 Firefly and linked the two together.

The whole character and figure designs of Firefly had me captured from an early age partly because I didnt know who he was. I knew the Green and Black figure from 93 was Firefly but i didnt know who the grey guy was in the videos until later on. I guess this proves how not paying attention to the comic books or cartoons reduces your knowledge greatly!

The green one is a nice version, even if it is a bit far from the character. About the JvC one, it is certain that he has a bit monkey arms, but mine holds the weapons perfectly, at least some of them (he is one of the figures with more extra weapons).
