Hey all,
Just wondering... on the subject of Capital Punishment.. do you think it should be allowed?
I saw some really f*cked up videos today, really really violent videos showing capital punishment in an eastern country... just wondering what everyones thoughts are on countries that still hand out this punishment?
To avoid everyones disgust, the video shows 7 or 8 live beheadings, four or five people hold these people down while another goes at his neck with a saw or some kind of razor sharp knife, all this while the guy who's being beheaded is still conscious. It's very graphic but if needs must and you want to see it, let me know and i'll pm you the link. (dont be eating while you watch it though).

Killing people, regardless of what they have done, solves nothing and proves nothing.I believe a society cannot call itself civilised if it condones the death of others. |

Go for it as long as there is no reasonable doubt the person did it out of cruelty for another human being. If there were more of these things that happened it would decrease the potential for crime and the use of funds just to house a person. My father felt it would be a learning experience to see such things and worse (being drawn and quartered anyone?) to show the misuse of justice in some countries and what he felt was torture in others. I was around 10 when I saw things like you are describing, it helped shape how I felt about this subject. Noone should have the right to use cruel punishment to kill a person even a murderer, but as said above if they are guilty themselves of this there is no need for them on the planet.
